Al Passori is a coach and advisor to Fortune 500 C-level executives and has almost three decades of IT and business experience in the areas of operations, risk assessment, audit and control procedures, information security, IT disaster recovery/business continuity planning, and strategic planning. He has worked as Director of IT (CIO) for a financial institution, was a Field Manager and Regional technical staff specialist for IBM, and co-founder/CEO of e-DotCom Marketing, Inc. He also previously worked for Comdisco (SunGard). Before joining Gartner in February 2000, he held the position of Consulting Director with Condor Technology Solutions. He has served on the board of the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) for supervisory policies as an advisor to the financial services industry. He has provided his consulting expertise to the financial services, publishing, telecommunications, manufacturing, and transportation industries. He is a published author of numerous management articles and is often quoted in technical and management journals as an industry expert.

As a META Group analyst, Mr. Passori acts as a personal coach and trusted advisor to Fortune 500 CIOs. Mr. Passori has a B.Sc. and M.A. from the University of Maryland and a Ph.D. from Pacific Western. He is a former military officer pilot having served his country during the Vietnam-war era.
